Good day travelers and villains! I know I know, its been far too long since I have updated my blog and news feed. I am really going to try and make a change about that. So let me catch you up on the last couple of months. Last night I returned from Cincinnati Comic Expo wrapping up my 2017 year of comic and media conventions. It was a lighter year of shows but all successful. Lighter because I have been working to the bone creating new work. Mainly my tabletop fantasy card game, Grimoire Quest!
Yes, it is almost here! The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter in August and I have worked every waking minute to wrap up essential pre-production rewards ( game cameos etc). Now I am waiting for the first proof sample from my manufacturer in Shanghai. At this time pre-orders for the game are now open! If you missed out on the Kickstarter there are a handful of great rewards still being offered for late pledge backers. Just visit this link to visit my campaign manager account and order your copy of the game today! https://app.crowdox.com/projects/1852127685/grimoire-quest-a-mystical-battle-rpg I will be posting more work soon, I have a few things to wrap up before my wedding to my best friend and love of my life Elizabeth in November. After that I will be completing long over due work for a friends children's books. Then I will be taking a break for the holidays and preparing for my biggest year of my career! 2018 I will be attending a record amount of shows and conventions including gaming conventions. During the spring I will be creating a handful of new paintings and illustrations before creating two new big projects. An amusing series of "Adult" satire children's books and I will begin steps to my next board game idea! Periodically I will be creating expansion card decks for Grimoire Quest as well. Woo that's starting to sound overwhelming already! But, hey what about The Anathema right? Let me explain a little bit about my 5 year plan right now. I am creating a lot of these other projects right now in the hopes that they will bring enough new revenue into my budget that I can hire other artist to help work on The Anathema. Anathema is a big story and requires a whole lot of time from just one person. And unfortunately as a solo operation I can't keep up with the work and take the hit financially since the time it would take to promote it, and keep the pages flowing just does not balance well. But it is a story I think will pay off in the long run so I am not walking away form it, I never could. I'm hopeful these new projects will help fund the necessary assistance that I will require to give it the proper audience I feel that it deserves. For now I really hope you will enjoy playing Grimoire Quest! The game features over 300 illustrations by yours truly! There is also a art gallery coffee table book companion to the game available soon! The Art of Grimoire Quest! Click any of the images below to pre-order today!
